Turner Prize nominee Fiona Banner aka The Vanity Press has generously donated this hand-tinted, limited edition print to be auctioned in aid of Stockwell Says Hello.

About Stockwell Says Hello

Stockwell Say Hello is a local community sponsorship group looking to settle a refugee family in North Lambeth under the UK Government’s community sponsorship resettlement programme. SSH was born of a genuine desire to give a family who has fled the ravages of conflict the basic tenets of life: security, prospects, a safe place in which to raise their kids. A home, and all the gladness it brings.

About Fiona Banner aka The Vanity Press

Fiona Banner lives and works in the UK. Her work explores gender, language and publishing through diverse mediums, including drawing, sculpture, performance and the moving image. The struggle between language and its limitations is central to Banner’s work. With an interest in how conflict is mythologised through popular culture, her early work took the form of ‘wordscapes’ or ‘still films’, blow-by-blow accounts in her own words of feature films, from war movies to pornography, from intimate scenes to historical events. Banner often works under the moniker of The Vanity Press.
