ArtPlay announces in-person summer time camps in musical theater, visual arts – Information

Basic safety protocols for in-individual camps at UAB may well contain everyday temp checks, staggered pickup and drop-off, little group classes, masking, distancing, and outdoor performances/art galleries.

play camp.2In-person summer season camps in musical theater and visual arts will be presented by ArtPlay at the College of Alabama at Birmingham this summer season.

Three musical theater and two visible arts camps for young children ages 7-14 and 10-18 for summer time 2021 are accepting registrations now. See a record of lessons and sign up at AlysStephens.org.

All camps will be registered with UAB’s Youth Protection plan and ArtPlay is preparing for lots of situations the protocols UAB and the UA System put into put for in-individual summer season camps are primarily based on the current environment and are topic to change. These may include:

ArtPlay Musical Theatre camps

  • Camp 1, “Disney’s Aristocats, Young ones,” for ages 7-14, with director Jennifer Salvant. From 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday June 7-18. Price is $420 course capability is 40.

  • Camp 2, “Disney’s Frozen, Youngsters,” for ages 7-14, with director Valerie Lemmons. From 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday June 21-July 2. Cost is $420 class ability is 40.

  • Camp 3 Intense, “Addams Relatives,” for ages 10-18, with director Reid Watson. From 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday July 12-30. Value is $580 course ability is 40.

ArtPlay Musical Theatre campers will be released to musical theater with a range of exciting lessons. They will discover theater game titles, improvisation, heat-ups, dance, vocal exercise routines, voice and diction, terminology, performing, and phase manufacturing, all although developing a character and rehearsing for a total staged musical creation at the finish of camp. More mature campers in the third camp will have an further week for grasp lessons — a week of intensive lessons in improv, musical theater dance, voice, character advancement, acting and auditioning.

ArtPlay Visible Arts camps

ArtPlay’s award-successful visual arts camps offer lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts and more. Every single day gives a new discovery, and at the finish of camp college students will have their extremely individual art exhibit. Two periods are planned.

  • ArtPlay Visible Arts Camp A, ages 7-12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday June 28-July 2. Value is $300 class capability is 20.

  • ArtPlay Visual Arts Camp B, ages 7-12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday July 19-23. Cost is $300 course potential is 20.

ArtPlay looks forward to acquiring college students again in the properties properly, states Director Heath Mixon.
