Artwork as Memory Dominates Egypt’s Standard Exhibition

The 42nd once-a-year Typical Exhibition of Egyptian artwork is underway in Cairo with the title of Art: Memory of the Nation.

The topic is illustrated by the Arabic calligraphy shown in several paintings and by the use of classic elements, notably in ceramics, but also by recycled stuff.

Ahmed Refaat Suleiman, the exhibition’s typical commissioner, was eager to dismiss the idea that the clearly show was limited to set up artists.
