Church auction features art, music related to Lent, grief

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — An auction at Trinity United Methodist Church Sunday will feature will aspect Lafayette region artists and musicians concentrating on the features of Lent.

TUMC will host the charity artwork auction and Lenten live performance at 3 p.m. Sunday in Trinity’s Sanctuary, at the corner of North & 6th streets in downtown Lafayette.

In accordance to a release from TUMC, the live performance will function artists and musicians with neighborhood ties to Lafayette. The topic for the party is “Lent: A Journey from Grief to This means.”

This theme will investigate Lent by way of the five levels of grief as explained by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, a Swiss-American psychiatrist, in her 1969 reserve “On Demise and Dying.”
