About David Frizzell:
David Frizzell lived all about Texas starting in Greenville Texas in the early ’40s when his father went to Europe in WW2. He had his initially radio show at the age of 9 in Kermit, Texas, then on to Sulphur Springs in which they lived when brother Lefty obtained his first number one strike (and younger brother Allen was born). He began touring with his famous brother, Lefty Frizzell at the age of 12 through the 1950s and 60s. Right after serving in the Air Force, Frizzell signed with Columbia Records in 1970 and charted his to start with Billboard single with “L.A. International Airport” and then a Best 40 with “I Just Are unable to Aid Believing.”
Through the 1970s, Frizzell appeared frequently on Buck Owens’ All American Television Exhibit and commenced recording for Capitol Records. In 1981, he recorded his 1st variety-a single region hit, “You happen to be the Purpose God Produced Oklahoma,” a duet with Shelly West.
