Dr. Megan Walsh, professor of English at St. Bonaventure College, has been named performing dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences.

A 10-12 months member of the school at St. Bonaventure, Walsh has, since January 2020, directed the Honors Software, which serves far more than 150 undergraduate pupils at the college. She is also director of St. Bonaventure’s new B.A. system in literary publishing and editing and is former chair of the Office of English.

She is the writer of “The Portrait and the Book: Illustration and Literary Lifestyle in Early America” (College of Iowa Push) and co-editor of Frank J. Webb’s “The Garies and Their Friends” (Broadview). Walsh retains a Ph.D. and M.A. in English from Temple College. She earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with majors in English and heritage.
