“I stopped putting songs out, but I still do music all the time,” Murphy suggests, including that he has a “vault” of unheard songs. But when it will come to releasing new music, “That’s form of, like, younger people do that,” he states. “The Rolling Stones ain’t putting no records out! They are actively playing their old tracks. Nobody wants to listen to the Rolling Stones’ new sh–.” (Not to proper Mr. Murphy, but The Stones just topped the Rock Digital Music Revenue chart in April 2020 with “Dwelling in a Ghost Town,” so folks are nonetheless listening!)
When Hall asks Bella regardless of whether she’d like to hear her dad on a music with a modern chart-topper like Megan Thee Stallion, Eddie interjects: “Megan Thee Stallion?! “I have my very first grandchild,” he provides of his son Miles’ toddler woman. “When you’re a grandpa, you can not do no tracks with Megan Thee Stallion.”
