HANNIBAL — The forthcoming exhibits at the Hannibal Arts Council include things like a traveling exhibit, an open exhibit, a retrospective exhibit and two electronic photography exhibits.
Fifteen artists from 4 regions of Missouri have been chosen into the 60-piece traveling exhibit titled Missouri Art Now: A Bicentennial Celebration. The juried show celebrates Missouri’s vivid visual arts lifestyle now. Northeast Missouri/Hannibal space artists picked into the exhibit involves Mary Jo Kattelman, of Newark, Mo. Howard Kuo, of Hannibal, Sally Kintz, of Clarksville, Mo. and Debra Scoggin Myers, of Ewing, Mo.
The Jean Vincent/Scipio Pottery Retrospective functions salt-glazed pottery established by the treasured Hannibal artist and community arts champion. Vincent’s exhibition showcases her a lot of clay kinds, glazing techniques and visually shows a development of her body of do the job.
The Bees Knees is an open up exhibit of submitted artwork showcasing nearly anything bee-relevant — which includes bees, honey, honeycombs and honey pots. HAC gallery hrs are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday as a result of Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The HAC gallery is closed on Tuesday and Sunday.
