Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center presents Rose River Memorial, an artwork set up in collaboration with Artist Marcos Lutyens and the Rose River Memorial venture honoring the lives dropped to COVID-19 in the State of Hawai‘i. The outside set up is on display through Sept. 4, 2021 at the Hui No‘eau’s Makawao campus.
The memorial is section of the grassroots local community artwork movement, Rose River Memorial, that honors and grieves the lives missing in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. The job engages communities to generate felt roses as a symbol of grief for every single life dropped.
Customers of the Maui community have arrive jointly to make far more than 500 felt roses in remembrance of their cherished types.
