For several years now, the Haifa, Israel collective now as Damaged Fingaz has been a little bit of anything and in all places: graffiti, murals, screenprints, installations, paintings, photography and now a new monograph demonstrates a exceptional blend of comedian-e book designs and reduce n’ paste imagery across every medium. Now spread across the globe, from London to Israel to Mexico, the crew is still producing sound as a singular power and generating a perception of local community and inclusion no matter where they are. They are amusing and political, with roots in graffiti vandalism and champions of the evolution of the artwork variety.
In this episode of the Radio Juxtapoz podcast, Doug Gillen speaks with Damaged Fingaz customers UNGA and TANT on the celebration of their new mural in The Chicken in Ostend, Belgium for The Crystal Ship, a mural for which they unveiled a constrained edition print with all proceeds from the sale likely to refugees from the Russian war on Ukraine.
