Lakes Area gallery seeks function by young artists

If you are a mother, father or guardian of a grade and/or junior higher faculty scholar who loves to attract, paint or consider photographs, the Lakes Area Artwork Association will host its ‘Being Young at Art’ exhibition for them to publicly show their initial creations in the LRAA Gallery, Oct. 3 to 23.

This is not an artwork contest and no prizes awarded, but as a substitute a wonderful option for any youthful artisan to have entertaining and exhibit the environment their raw expertise and capabilities in art to include things like drawing, portray and/or imaginative pictures. Each and every participant will receive a certification, signed by LRAA President Thomas Hitchcock, acknowledging their participation.

There are no prices to enter and it’s no cost to exhibit in the gallery. Any media is accepted from pencil, crayon, watercolor, acrylic, markers, electronic artwork, poster paint, to oil, etc. No matting or framing permitted as all entries will be inserted in a crystal clear plastic envelope and then hung on a ‘clothes line’ for exhibit.

The exhibition is open to the public each Thursday by means of Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Oct. 9, the ‘Being Young at Art’ exhibit will host an ice product social from noon to 3 p.m. It is open to mates and family members of each and every college student.

Registration kinds are now available at the gallery and submissions should be shipped to the gallery no later than Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. The Lakes Region Artwork Association Gallery is a non-revenue, 501 C-3 business focused to supporting and advertising the arts since 1940.
