Artists of all ability stages are participating in the Lewisburg Sidewalk Chalk Competition.

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Just about everywhere you stroll on Market Avenue in Lewisburg, there is one vibrant design and style right after an additional. Individuals of all ages and skill ranges are collaborating in the Lewisburg Sidewalk Chalk Pageant.

“The girls wished to consider it out for the very first time. They are established up less than the marquee and taking pleasure in the working day,” Andrea Witmer claimed.

The competition is a longtime custom on Sector Street. There is stay tunes, face painting, and prizes.

“All of this is free. It’s all family members-friendly. If you are an artist oneself and you want to enable go of your internal resourceful aspect, we encourage all people to deliver your bucket of chalk, come on down,” Della Hutchison mentioned.

Close to 100 folks preregistered for the sidewalk chalk pageant, but any individual can sign up for in, grab some chalk, and attract.

“This is a monster we created collectively based mostly on bionical toys we had. We essentially built it and decided we have been heading to draw it with chalk and a bunch of other stuff all-around it,” Richard Rheam explained.

This is Rheam’s second time collaborating in the sidewalk chalk competition.

“It is a ton of fun. It is like being a child all over again,” reported Michelle Tavaras, an artwork important in faculty.
