Three community artists are participating in the newest exhibit — “Oakland Historic Properties & Buildings” — at the Healthier West Orange Arts and Heritage Centre at the Town of Oakland. The art of Craig K. Brown, Rod Reeves and Scott Lineberger depicts homes and landmarks that are all element of the town’s heritage.

The pieces are distinctive to the artist — from Brown’s digital paintings to Reeves’ pencil drawings to Lineberger’s photographs on wooden panels.

In the early 2000s, Brown, a West Orange County resident, photographed well-known space landmarks and landscapes and then digitally manipulated them right until they resembled watercolor paintings.

“They all get started with pictures — I imagine the time period I gave to it was camera-based mostly laptop or computer art,” Brown reported. “I was involved about all the historic locations all around West Orange County vanishing for the reason that of the creating and so on, and I experienced carried out some of this things for our church for some of the publications they had, and I thought, ‘Maybe I really should start out heading out and having pics of these places in Winter season Yard, Oakland, Ocoee.’
