The Hope Tree Art Exhibition is an exhibition of original artworks that share messages of hope and local community on look at in the premier green room in Newport’s North Conclusion community, Miantonomi Park, from July 21 – Oct 9, 2021.
The exhibition will be celebrated with a community Opening Reception on Wednesday, July 21 from 5 – 7 pm. The exhibition characteristics a lot more than 20 artworks by around 50 artists of all ages – men and women, families, community groups, campers, and additional – who ended up influenced to share constructive messages by wonderful community art. Opening Reception guests will be invited to tour the artworks, satisfy the artists, and even lead to an artwork that will be part of the others on display in the Park.
The Arts & Culture Functioning Team of the Newport Health Equity Zone and Newport Art Museum invited all individuals, family members, groups and companies who are related to the North Conclude to participate by developing an artwork to be on show in the Park for all to enjoy this summer. This short term public artwork exhibition seeks to lift and make visible the voices and experiences of North Finish neighborhood associates. Hope Tree artwork makers selected an affirming word to use as an anchoring theme for their artwork all-around which to build drawn, painted, sewn, or glued-on patterns on canvas. The artworks are wrapped close to large tree trunks in Miantonomi Park, creating a path of wonderful and inspiring artworks that celebrate hope and community.
