Jim Nyce remaining the company globe immediately after 35 a long time to transfer to Cushing, letting him to focus on his images complete time. He had gathered countless numbers of pictures, numerous from summers in Maine to do the job with, and time to check out new visuals, constructing self-control and skills in digital enhancing and printing.  His eager eye mixed with his specialized techniques genuinely make his images will work of good art.

Jim shares his views: “The environment around us is 360 degrees of completely immersive shade, sort, and motion in a consistent point out of alter.  My camera sees only small frozen rectangles of that visual cacophony.  But far from that staying a legal responsibility, it allows me to seriously concentration and seek out out the “choice bits” of the entire world – preset fragments which for me stand for attractiveness, secret, and/or surprise that could easily if not pass by unnoticed.  I’m fascinated by breaking the bonds of context, serendipitous style, shade relationships, visual layers, and textural components which can transcend the two dimensional character of my photographs.  For me, photography is a impressive tool for my continuing discovery of natural beauty in apparently mundane and unremarkable fragments of the world.”

Penny Linn graduated from Colby Higher education in 1973 and remained in Maine with her partner and two boys. Now residing in Belfast, Penny has retired and has embarked on a journey to rekindle her passion for the art which entailed exiting the film planet and entering the electronic age of image producing. “ I am typically drawn toward simple compositions that embrace the negligible though transforming the common into an graphic aside from the noticeable,” stated Linn. “In a sense, I extract pictures from the expansive landscapes we come upon in our day-to-day travels. These are interpretations of landscapes past a popular picture, to look at in a new way.”
