Public Artist Lloyd Goradesky Creates Art About LOVE & Kindness

South Florida public artist Lloyd Goradesky‘s famed interactive art project ‘Let LOVE Guide Your Way, is a spinning red metallic heart made into a Cupids Arrow weathervane capturing the wind and points in the direction of love. The purpose of ‘Let LOVE Guide Your Way’ is to celebrate kindness, and to share the message of universal LOVE, while encouraging compassion, consideration and tolerance for everyone. The Project is community interactive and encourages individual participation with Stories, Interviews & News of Kindness. ‘Let LOVE Guide Your Way’ was featured in the 2019 International Kinetic Art Exhibit & Symposium.

Goradesky’s breathtaking sculpture is a kinetic, candy red weathervane that stands 16 feet high and weighs 5,000 pounds. It was originally part of the Boynton Beach 2021 Kinetic Art Exhibition, which was an exciting public art group showcase created by the Boynton Beach Arts Commission and produced by the City of Boynton Beach through its Art in Public Places program. The 5th Biennial Kinetic Art Exhibit was created by the Boynton Beach Arts Commission to celebrate art in motion.

Recently over the 2022 Valentine’s Day Weekend, Goradesky’s original ‘Let LOVE Guide Your Way’ kinetic weathervane was installed and unveiled at Dania Beach City Hall on Saturday, February 12th. The community was invited to join City Officials and City Staff for the Public Art Unveiling Ceremony for Let LOVE Guide Your Way monumental kinetic weathervane Valentine’s Day weekend.

“It was a great honor to collaborate with Lloyd to bring this beautiful and unique ‘Let LOVE Guide Your Way’ kinetic weathervane to the City of Dania Beach! We couldn’t be more thrilled to spread a message of love and kindness in our community through public art. This one-of-a-kind sculpture is a perfect fit for our city’s motto, Sea it. Live it. LOVE it,” said Joyce Davis, City Commissioner in Dania Beach.

Goradesky has completed many award-winning projects over the course of his decades long public art career, he has been featured in numerous national and international publications, television, radio, cable and internet programs such as Discovery Channel and PBS. Goradesky has garnered multiple awards within the art and design industries, and he continues to create unique commissions for high profile residential and commercial projects.

Goradesky is known for his Gator In The Bay, The World’s Largest Gator – a 33,000-pound steel gator sculpture that made waves during the early editions of Art Basel Miami Beach. The gator was taken apart in 2015 after the sculpture sailed into the New River and the Miami Yacht Club on a self-propelled barge, the individual floating art tiles were sold to collectors. But at the Ernest Coe Visitor Center in the Everglades, visitors can touch artifacts, view wall text and watch videos about Goradesky’s custom-built attraction, which was part of the park’s 99th anniversary celebration of the National Parks Service.

The artists’ current artworks and projects celebrate LOVE & KINDNESS, a variety of art pieces are available in many sizes and colors, from table-top pieces to massive outdoor structures. Made to display for Indoor or Outdoor use; the artist’s larger pieces are perfect for Pool Display or Outside, which can be permanently installed. Materials: Aluminum & Stainless-Steel Thrust Bearings on a Granite or Marble Base. Available pieces include: Kinetic Heart Weathervanes, Heart Sculptures, Heart Jewelry and more. One of Goradesky’s ‘Heart of Kindness’ sculptures was recently installed poolside at the famous Art House in Vero Beach, by collectors and patrons of the arts, James & Michelle, founding members of St. George’s Society of Palm Beach.

Goradesky was born and raised on Miami Beach with a unique background in art, business and design. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He resides in Hollywood, Florida where he lives and works. He is widely recognized for his iconic public art projects that allow the community to experience art in their daily life, thereby creating a greater sense of place and identity.
