SCAD Museum of Art Appoints Daniel S. Palmer as Chief Curator


The Savannah Faculty of Art and Layout proudly announces the appointment of Daniel S. Palmer as the new chief curator of the SCAD Museum of Art, just in time for the training museum’s 10th-anniversary celebration.

“Daniel Palmer is a prolific curator who delivers to SCAD MOA a prosperity of awareness and expertise and a dedication to representation, amplifying the voices and impression of intercontinental artists,” explained Kari Herrin, executive director of SCAD museums and exhibitions. “As we usher in an thrilling next decade, Daniel will be an inspiring curatorial and programming chief who will shift the museum ahead with vision and tenacity.”

Prior to joining SCAD MOA, Palmer was curator at Public Artwork Fund, New York, exactly where he led an ambitious program of exhibitions showcasing perform by artists this sort of as Melvin Edwards, Awol Erizku, Carmen Herrera, Harold Ancart, Tony Oursler, and Liz Glynn, among the other people. He has earlier held curatorial positions at the Jewish Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
