Spotify adds What’s New feed for all the audio and podcasts you follow

What’s New is a new area in the Spotify app that collects together new new music and content from musicians and podcasts you abide by on the platform. The feed, which is rolling out globally above the coming months on iOS and Android, will be available through a new bell icon on the prime right of the app’s house display screen. A blue dot will display when there’s new articles in the feed, and artists and podcasts can be added by tapping the “Follow” button on their respective web pages.

“What’s New can make it a lot easier than ever to catch all the most current music and episodes from the creators you adhere to,” Spotify’s announcement claims. “Plus, it’s even updated in genuine time, so you know you’ll get to pay attention to new content just as it’s produced.”

Although the new aspect works with tunes releases, the feed is probable to be most handy for holding up to day with podcasts. In spite of Spotify’s big force into podcasts, its background as a music-focused services has intended that its apps aren’t specifically well suited for listening to episodic articles. Dedicated podcasting applications, meanwhile, are created about chronological feeds, creating it straightforward to see when new episodes are obtainable. Ideally, What’s New will bring some of these added benefits to Spotify.
