The levels of competition concluded July 21 with the readings and awards celebration at the Steamboat Artwork Museum. Awards ended up presented to winners in a few groups: grownup prose, adult poetry and youth entries.
Adult prose: Kathi Guler received for her tale based on the painting “Untamed” by Johne Richardson. An honorable mention went to Dagny McKinley for her tale primarily based on “After the Storm” by Nancy Howe.
Adult poetry: Marian Tolles won for her poem based mostly on “Incoming Tide, Laguna Beach” by Calvin Liang. An honorable point out went to Wendy Lind for her poem centered on “Kind of the Wild Things” by Ana Rose Bain.
Youth: Layla Baker, 14, gained for her story based on “La Playa del Sol” by Timothy Reese. An honorable mention was provided to Tessher Feinberg, 11, for his poem based mostly on “Night Approached” by Cristen Miller.
