“Blended Flavor period is my beloved time of the calendar year. And this year we are especially excited mainly because we are bringing the software to the museum’s new performance and programming space, the Holiday break Theater, on Denver’s Northside. We hope that attendees will find some thing new, be wildly entertained, and shake up your weekday regimen with one particular (or all) of these tag-group talks wherever everything goes,” said Sarah Baie, MCA Denver Director of Programming and Blended Style Co-host.

“Just about every part of Combined Flavor is an journey, from the speakers whose abilities on even the most obscure subjects hardly ever cease to amaze us, to the poets who fantastically and hysterically tie the topic issues with each other on the fly, to the wild and thoughtful audience thoughts. Even the most mismatched subjects obtain unpredicted popular ground and just about every method can and will go pretty a great deal wherever. We like partnering with MCA Denver to current this offbeat sequence each calendar year,” mentioned Off-Centre Curator and Blended Flavor Co-host Charlie Miller.

Conceived by Adam Lerner in 2004, Blended Taste pairs two speakers who get 20 minutes each and every to enlighten individuals on unrelated subject areas, devoid of making any connections to the other. It is only as participants start out to check with queries that these proficient, often hilarious, from time to time wild speakers start out to get our extremely engaged audience on an experience of terms with twists and turns that inevitably provide the two subjects jointly in extraordinary methods.

Every single night will conclude with an initial poem influenced by the subject areas performed by some of Denver’s best poets, such as Suzi Q. Smith, Brenton Zola, who also this year’s guest curator, Mahogany, Bianca Mikahn, and Franklin Cruz. This year’s lineup incorporates:
