UScellular announces 3 winners in Boys & Ladies Club artwork opposition

UScellular has introduced the a few winners of its 2nd yearly Black Heritage Month Artwork Contest with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.

For the first time, general public voting for the finalists’ art was out there on the internet. The successful artists were being awarded reward cards:

  • Myonnah Taylor, age 9 and a Davenport fourth-grader, acquired $250 for initial put on a Mae Jemison drawing (shown.)
  • Tamyra Bates, 18, a Davenport senior, was awarded $150 for second area on a Martin Luther King Jr. artwork.
  • Kayden Seth Ozmon, 14, an eighth-grader from Davenport, picked up $100 for 3rd area on a Shaquille O’Neal development.

“It was amazing to see the creative imagination and huge range of inspirations the Club users utilised to generate their artwork this calendar year,” reported Matt Kasper, UScellular’s director of sales for east Iowa. “We extend our congratulations to the winners and all the finalists in this year’s contest. We’re thrilled to be ready to crew with the Boys & Girls Golf equipment of the Mississippi Valley to rejoice Black Record Month and the range in our group and the region.”

In January, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley customers created artwork in recognition of influential Black folks from around the globe that include things like historical figures, entire world leaders, athletes and celebs.

The 10 finalists were being picked out by representatives from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley primarily based on creative imagination, good quality, interpretation, clarity of theme and total impression. Voting was offered on-line in the course of February.
