Thirteen substantial college learners in the Visible Arts Application have gained awards in two North Carolina areas of the newly reorganized Scholastic
Art and Composing Awards. UNCSA visual artists won a full of 10 gold keys, including
a prestigious American Visions nominee eight silver keys and 12 honorable mentions.

Ila Waller of Chapel Hill, N.C., is an American Visions nominee for her gold-vital function, “Mysticism,”

sponsored by the Mid-Carolina Region of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which

high-quality arts at universities such as Virginia Commonwealth, Kansas Metropolis Art Institute,
Maryland Institute College of Artwork, Rhode Island Faculty of Layout, University of Artwork Institute
of Chicago, Ringling College or university of Art and Layout, School of the Museum of Fantastic Art –
Boston and University for Innovative Research.
Alumni have appreciated successful professions in images, graphic layout, portray, animation,
sculpture, set up artwork, makeup artistry and arts instruction. Environment-renowned photographer,
documentary filmmaker and director David LaChapelle, an alumnus of the Visible Arts
Method, was the speaker for the UNCSA significant school commencement in 2015.
