With lumber as a canvas, Newport News yard transforms into an art exhibition

NEWPORT News, Va. (WAVY) — All through the pandemic, a museum of types has sprung up in a backyard in Newport News. 

Its curator is Amber Wyatt, who life with her spouse in the Richneck area.  

“Our goal is to have very considerably our overall fence all the way about protected in artwork,” mentioned Amber Wyatt. 

The concept began about 7 months in the past, when Wyatt and her husband identified them selves with leftover lumber from a constructing venture.  

“What superior way to use them than as an art challenge?” Wyatt explained.  

They cut it into smaller pieces, sanded them down and began giving them absent to pals, loved ones and neighbors to paint and return.
