Eugene artists acquire ‘Career Opportunity’ grants to fund tasks

Printmaker Mika Aono, left, and volunteer Neal Williams make silkscreen prints during a livestream at Eugene Contemporary Art's ANTI-AESTHETIC to help kick off the opening of "A Critical Conversation," a multi-disciplinary project focused on the intersections of art, race and privilege at home and in culture.

In the second and remaining round of the Oregon Arts Fee and Ford Relatives Foundation’s Occupation Chance Program grant awards, 31 Oregon artists have been allotted $83,321 for occupation improvement jobs.

The awards, ranging from $880 to $7,500, contain stipends for area artists Mika Aono and Kathleen Caprario.
