Fishers and Carmel will be likely all in on arts the future few of weekends.
It is the 2nd Harvest Fest structured by the Fishers Arts Council, which started final year to change the Fishers Parks and Recreation Foundation once-a-year fundraiser the corporation canceled because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Arts Council Govt Director Les Reinhardt said this year’s fest will be larger than previous year’s, with 29 artists and six non-gain organizations setting up booths, together with three bands and meals trucks.
“We did not have any time to do publicity very last calendar year and we experienced about 300 patrons show up,” Reinhardt said. “This year we’ve had flyers out considering that August.”
The artists will be advertising watercolors, crochet animals, woodwork, handmade jewelry and pottery, among other products.

Carmel Plein Air Paint Out
Carmel will host a three working day painting gala from Sept. 17-19.
The once-a-year Carmel on Canvas Plein Air Paint Out celebration is an open-air painting exhibition and competitors on the sidewalks through the city’s middle.
Professional and amateur artists, such as youngsters and younger little ones, will paint landscapes and road scenes at the Carmel Arts & Style and design District, Midtown, Carmel Metropolis Heart and the Town Corridor Japanese Gardens. “This is a great event for our local community and it highlights our wonderful architecture and landscapes as a result of the eyes of our inventive artists,” Mayor Jim Brainard stated in information release. “It is primarily entertaining for family members with little youngsters who we hope turn into inspired to build their have art.”
All the paintings will be for sale and money prizes will be awarded for paintings judged the finest in two contests.
