See the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society’s Spring Show Winners

The Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society is celebrating its final show of the year with a spring on the net exhibition. The show characteristics 90 paintings, which include three major contest winners and other awards and honorable mentions. Items have been curated by juror Iliya Mirochnik, an artist and teacher at New Masters Academy and Ringling School of Artwork & Style and design. Most pieces are for sale and can be considered on the society’s web page until finally Saturday, Might 15.

Very first prize ($500) also recognised as the Joanna & Frank Warber Award, was presented to Stuart Cantor for his calming piece, Reflection Pool. Second prize ($400) went to Evie Peck for her reptile-motivated piece, No Normal Enemies. 3rd prize ($300) went to Florida Suncoast Watercolor Culture president Jenny Medved for her piece, Roots. The Excellency in Clear Watercolor Award ($250) was supplied to Lakewood Ranch artist William Perry for his portrait titled At the James.

Merit awards of $100 every single ended up provided to Suzanna Span for Washboard Willie at the Cat, Jacquie Clark for Hooch and Augusto Argandona for Following the Rain. Honorable mentions were offered to Helen Burkett, Kris Parins and Linda Sanders.
